Yes absolutely! They’ve sacrificed so much in their lives so we could have better lives than they had. Being poor with a family to raise doesn’t necessarily afford a lot of opportunities to invest in themselves.
I don’t know if they see us as an extension of themselves but that’s great insight as I never saw it that way.
